Mule Runtime 3.6.0 Release Notes

MuleSoft is pleased to announce the release of the Mule Runtime 3.6.0 runtime, which introduces new functionality, improvements, and fixes to our industry-leading ESB software.
These release notes apply to both the Community and the Enterprise runtimes of Mule ESB 3.6.0. Where appropriate, we have applied an Enterprise marker to identify features or functionality that are available only in the Enterprise runtime.
Note: Mule ESB 3.6.n uses log4j2. Ensure that you’re using the latest logging configuration. For more information about this change, see Logging in Mule.

New Features and Functionality

High-Performance HTTP: Mule 3.6 contains a new, high performance version of HTTP, which supports non-blocking I/O. The previous HTTP connector continues to be supported for all 3.x releases and until the next major release of Mule ESB. See HTTP Connector for more information.

AMQP Connector: An updated and officially supported version of our AMQP connector. It is built on top of the previously-available community AMQP transport, but includes additional functionality such as support for multi-channel receivers, fixes many bugs and contains an upgraded client library. See AMQP Connector for more information.

Hardware and Software System Requirements
| Mule ESB 3.6.0 requires Oracle JRE version 1.7.0_60 or later, or IBM JRE version 1.7. Java 6 and Java 8 are not supported in both platforms (Oracle and IBM). |
For most use cases, the 3.6.0 Runtime does not change the hardware and software system requirements established by the 3.5.X Runtime. MuleSoft recommends a minimum of 4 GB RAM on a developer workstation. As applications become complex, consider adding more RAM. Contact MuleSoft with any questions you may have about system requirements.
